Party rounds have a different rhythm. With twelve people in a room you need questions that half the group can answer immediately and loudly, not ones that require a three minute explanation.
So this deck is built for pace. The questions are about the shape of a night out — the first person on an empty dance floor, the drink knocked over within ten minutes of arriving, the coat that never came home, the taxi shared with people whose names nobody learned. There is a whole run of questions about the morning after: checking your messages with genuine fear, being told a story about yourself, promising never to speak of something again.
It is written to work in a noisy room where people are half listening, which means short questions and obvious answers. Pass the phone around the circle rather than having one person read everything out, and skip anything that stalls. The deck is long enough that you can drop half of it and still have an evening's worth of rounds left.
It can. Instead of putting a finger down, players take a sip when a card applies to them. The deck itself does not push drinking and works fine without it.
Any number above three. It is written for larger groups, so the more people in the circle the better the rounds work.
Pass the phone clockwise and give each person one card. Skip anything that does not get a reaction within a few seconds and keep moving.
