Not every round should be funny. This deck is for the conversation that happens after everyone else has gone home, or on a long drive, or at 3am when someone says something true by accident.
The questions are about the quieter parts of a life. Changing your mind about something important. Holding an opinion for years without questioning where it came from. Realising a belief was borrowed from someone else entirely. Staying silent when you should have spoken, and speaking when you should have stayed silent.
There is a section on forgiveness that includes the difficult version: forgiving someone who never asked, needing an apology that never came, struggling to forgive yourself. And one on ambition — talking yourself out of an opportunity, feeling like a fraud in a room, assuming everyone else knew what they were doing.
It ends on connection rather than regret: telling someone you were proud of them, letting someone see you at your worst, asking for help and finding it harder than giving it. Play this one slowly, with people you trust, and let anyone pass.
Not really. It is written for two to five people in a quiet room rather than for a group in a loud one.
Some are genuinely personal. Agree before you start that anyone can pass without explaining why.
Very. Many couples use it alongside the Couples deck when they want something more serious than date night questions.
