This is the deck to open when nobody has played before. The questions are about ordinary life — the wrong turn you took confidently, the message you sent to the wrong person, the appointment you forgot and covered up. Nothing here needs a warning and nothing here needs explaining.
The classic version of the game works because it mixes the mundane with the mildly shocking. A round where everyone puts a finger down is boring. A round where nobody does is worse. These questions are written to split a room roughly down the middle, so there is always someone admitting something and always someone smug about not having done it.
Start here if your group is mixed — different ages, people who know each other well and people who met an hour ago. Once the room warms up you can move to a sharper deck, but this is the one that gets everyone talking without anyone feeling cornered.
There are 229 classic questions, each written for this site. You can play through them in any order and shuffle as many times as you like.
Mostly, yes. The classic deck avoids anything adult, but a few questions assume driving, paying bills or working. For younger players the Family and Kids deck is a better fit.
One that roughly half the room has done. If everyone has done it, there is no story; if nobody has, the round stalls. These questions are written to sit in that middle ground.
